New England pet photography

It’s with much excitement that I announce that we’re moving to New England! Nashua, New Hampshire to be exact. TJ and I are looking forward to a new adventure in a new place, with Buddy and Rydell along for the ride. Emilee Miller Photography will still be around, so don’t you worry. I have been so blessed to work with many wonderful clients in southwest and central Florida since this little business got it’s start in 2008. I plan to visit Florida several times a year to spend time with family and friends, and serve clients both new and old in the sunshine state.

We will be in Florida for two more weeks, and there is much to do to prepare for the big move. I will be able to squeeze in a couple of sessions before we head out, so if you have been wanting a photo session for your pets or family before the summer heat kicks in, please reach out ASAP. Otherwise, I promise to keep you updated on availability when I visit Florida in the future.

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to each and every one of you for making my years in Florida so fantastic. I have loved meeting you, your fur kids, your families. Thank you for trusting me to photograph the ones you love the most. It has been a huge privilege to work with all of you, and I hope to see you again soon.

Please stick around and follow our adventures here on the blog, as well as Facebook and Instagram! I can’t wait to share beautiful New England photos with you!

Here’s a selfie from our visit to New Hampshire last weekend. This Florida girl was not prepared for April snow! It was beautiful, but I had to bundle up. The winter will definitely be an adjustment, but I’m excited about a more mild summer and beautiful fall. If any of my readers are familiar with the area, I’d love some suggestions on must-see places and must-eat foods

Two fun parents + two adorable and energetic little boys = a great family session! I was so happy to have the opportunity to work with the Leung family and finally explore Baldwin Park. Cliff and Sarah are super easy going and know how to have fun and not take things too seriously. I loved watching them interact with each other and their boys! Landon, their oldest, loved picking flowers for me and playing with his truck, and little Collins loved snuggling with his mama and watching his dad throw sticks. I think the boys really enjoyed getting to play outside while I did my best to capture the fun. And they went home with some fresh, homemade chocolate chips cookies. I love that photo shoots give me an excuse to bake yummy stuff!

In addition to being an awesome wife and mom, Sarah is a wonderfully talented local florist and runs Flower Girl Designs. Go to her website and drool over her stunning floral arrangements, and hire her for your wedding or next event! You won’t be disappointed.

Eleven years ago today, Buddy came into my life. It feels like I met him yesterday, I can remember it so vividly. But it also feels like I’ve known him forever. He has been with me through some of the sweetest and hardest times of my life. He has been a furry pillow to cry on, a friend who understands my feelings without me ever saying a word, a willing partner in life’s adventures. When I arrived at the venue on our wedding day, Buddy was there waiting. He greeted me with a wagging tail and I greeted him with happy tears. It meant so much to me to have my old boy in our wedding. He’s part of the family and deserved to be there.

Buddy has a place in my heart that I don’t think any other pet will ever fill. I know that I will love all of the animals that come into my life in the future, they will all be special and dear. But Buddy… Buddy is my heart dog. A truly once-in-a-lifetime friend. While his body has aged, his spirit and devotion haven’t changed one bit. He’s still the same loyal, gentle, food-loving boy that just wants to sit with you quietly and enjoy the closeness of companionship.

He’s my dog, my best Bud. I’m so grateful God has let me be his person for these wonderful eleven years.

If you’d like to read how Buddy came into my life, check out this post from 2009. I think it’s a pretty great story myself.
